Organization: Camping To Connect
Camping To Connect addresses systemic racism that leaves communities of color without access to the outdoors. The organization wanted to share a nuanced story of their work, but it was essential that filming didn’t interfere with the campers’ experience.
Rather than approach the organization as outsiders, we packed our tents and stepped into their world, joining on hikes and campfires before ever shooting a frame. This gave us a chance to participate in the camp’s culture, build trust, and plan collaboratively with the organization around the story we were telling

"I wanna do something I never done to get something I never had."
Shot inside a jail in Virginia, this feature length doc tells the story of four inmates who are a part of a unique rehabilitation program that involves writing and recording original songs. The film follows their personal and artistic development as they collaborate on an album with Grammy-winning recording artist Todd ‘Speech’ Thomas, from the iconic hip-hop group Arrested Development. As the creative process unfurls and a chance at freedom draws near, each of the men must unearth painful memories from their lives, which hold keys to their redemption.
The film won Best Documentary at the Downtown L.A. Film Festival and is slated for a theatrical release through Lightyear Entertainment in September 2019 and VOD through the Orchard in early 2020.
“With a variety of mediums, the filmmakers have captured raw, expressive interviews and vignettes from all sides of the current political climate, providing a unique and unvarnished look through the lens of many Americas.”
It's hard being in seven different places at the same time, capturing the same seconds of the same day— the exact moment the country gasped in unison. In this EPIX Original documentary, we followed seven photo photojournalists at work on Election Day 2016, capturing images from different vantage points across America (midwest election-night rallies, Atlanta black colleges, Brooklyn bars) as the election took a course few expected. To pull of this magic trick, we deployed directors in seven U.S. cities, filming simultaneously over a period of nearly 18 hours.
The film was ultimately picked up for distribution by Blumhouse, makers of Get Out and other successful horror titles. We have to admit, it did get scary out there.

From Nashville to Sweden, we traced the making of Galantis’ hit song “Faith”, and the unique collaboration with Dolly Parton. Watch as we follow the song from cities to countries as it comes to life: from vocals by Mr. Probz in Holland, orchestral strings in Sweden, to Dolly’s studio in Nashville. As the song finally comes to life, we follow Galantis to a stop on tour to hear it live.
